Cookies on this site
Short, because it really is short: two cookies, both needed to run the site, neither of them follows you.
What this site does not do
- No third-party analytics or statistics services
- No advertising and no ad networks

How we still know how many people were here
The web server writes a line to its log for every request anyway — the time, the address requested, the status code, the browser type and the referring page. Once a day we add those lines up and keep only the totals: how many pages were viewed, which ones, and where people came from. Nothing is stored on or read from your device for this, no script runs and no counting pixel is loaded. While the log is evaluated the IP address is replaced by a hash whose salt changes every day and is not stored; nobody can be recognised in the totals. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Why we do not ask for consent
Under the ePrivacy Directive, consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary — analytics or advertising, for instance. This site sets none of those. The two above are required for the service you asked for and are therefore exempt from the consent requirement. We tell you about them rather than staging a choice that does not exist.
Deleting the cookies
You can delete both at any time in your browser settings. The notice will then appear again and the site will pick the language from your browser once more.
